A New Home for Rotherham’s Youth: The TCF Community Hub Opens Its Doors
April 2025 marked a proud and powerful moment for the Titans Community Foundation as we officially opened the doors to our brand-new youth community centre — The TCF Hub — right in the heart of Rotherham.
Purpose-built for children and young people, the Hub is more than just a building. It’s a safe space to grow, learn, play, and connect. A place designed to inspire the next generation and give them the tools, guidance, and opportunities they deserve.
Built for the Future: Almost £750,000 Invested in Young Lives
Thanks to an incredible investment of nearly three-quarters of a million pounds from the Youth Investment Fund, the Hub now stands as a flagship space for youth development in Rotherham.
This funding has allowed us to create a welcoming, high-quality environment that reflects the potential of the young people it serves. Whether it’s playing sport, exploring new skills, finding support, or simply having a place to belong — the TCF Hub is now a central part of our mission to help children live active, healthy, and connected lives.
A Youth Centre With Purpose
The TCF Hub is a dedicated community space for children and young people. It’s where we’ll deliver our ever-growing range of programmes focused on:
- Sport & fitness — including rugby, cricket, multi-sports, and movement sessions
- Health & nutrition education — like our popular Cookies Khaw lessons and smoothie workshops
- Mentoring & emotional support — especially for those struggling with confidence or mental wellbeing
- Homework help & academic support
- Holiday clubs & after-school sessions
- Safe social spaces — to spend time with friends and trusted adult mentors
We’ve created this hub to bridge the gap — between school and home, between challenges and opportunity, and between young people and the wider community.
A Gift from the Mayor: Backing Rotherham’s Youth
As if the week wasn’t special enough, we were honoured to receive a donation from the Mayor of Rotherham to support the work of the Titans Community Foundation.
This generous contribution sends a strong message: that the future of our young people matters — and that investing in their wellbeing, development, and joy is a top priority.
The Mayor’s support is more than a kind gesture — it’s a public endorsement of the power of youth spaces like ours to create lasting, positive change.
An Unforgettable Opening Week
The launch of the Hub was packed with excitement, community spirit, and a sense of possibility.
Children explored the new facilities, tested out sports equipment, made smoothies, and met the coaches and youth workers who’ll be part of their journey here. From the moment the doors opened, the space was buzzing — and it became clear just how much this Hub was needed.
Highlights included:
- Youth interviews with past participants who now mentor younger children
- Live activities like rugby drills, Smoothie tasting , and mini-games
- Visits from local schools and families
- Lots of laughter, learning, and smiles all around
Why It Matters
In today’s world, too many young people are missing out on safe, supportive environments after school and during the holidays. That’s where the TCF Hub comes in — offering:
- A place to belong
- A chance to move, play, and grow
- A team of mentors who listen and care
- A route toward healthier, happier futures
It’s not just about sport. It’s about showing kids what they’re capable of and helping them believe in themselves.
What’s Next for the Hub?
The TCF Hub is just getting started. Over the coming months, we’ll be rolling out:
- Weekly after-school clubs
- Youth nights focused on games, confidence, and creativity
- Half-term and summer camps
- Expanded school partnerships
- Programmes for children with additional needs and those facing barriers in education
We also welcome community partners, funders, and volunteers to get involved in shaping the future of the Hub. If you believe in giving kids the best start in life — there’s a place for you in this journey.
Thank You
We want to extend our deepest thanks to everyone who made this possible:
- The Youth Investment Fund, for backing a vision with real impact
- The Mayor of Rotherham, for believing in what this space means to the community
- The families, schools, staff, and young people who give this building its purpose
The TCF Hub is now officially open. It belongs to the youth of Rotherham — and it’s here to help them thrive.
This is their space. Their future. And it’s only the beginning.
