The start of the year has been nothing short of busy at the Titans Community Foundation, with programmes already making a positive impact across Rotherham and surrounding communities.
Thanks to the continued support of the Million Hours Fund and the Violence Reduction Unit, we have been able to hit the ground running, delivering meaningful sessions that focus on early intervention, positive choices, and creating safe spaces for young people.
Throughout the first half of the term, our team has been working closely with schools and community partners to deliver sessions centred around health, wellbeing, education, and personal development. These programmes use sport and physical activity as a vehicle to build confidence, strengthen relationships, and provide young people with the tools they need to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
A key highlight of this half term has been the delivery of the Cookies KHAW programme across four schools. The programme supports children in developing a better understanding of healthy eating, making positive choices, and building lifelong habits that support their physical and mental wellbeing. Seeing pupils engage so enthusiastically with these sessions has reinforced the importance of early education around health and lifestyle.
Beyond schools, our community sessions have also returned with great energy. Young people have been welcomed back into safe, supportive environments where they can stay active, connect with peers, and feel part of something positive. These spaces play a vital role in offering structure, routine, and trusted role models during critical hours outside of the school day.
Alongside delivery, we’ve continued to strengthen relationships with schools, local organisations, and partners who share our vision of creating happy, healthy, and safe communities. This collaborative approach allows us to reach more young people and ensure our programmes are both impactful and sustainable.
This busy start to the year sets the tone for what lies ahead. With continued backing from our funders, growing partnerships, and dedicated staff, we’re proud to be building momentum and making a real difference where it matters most.
This is only the beginning of another impactful year for the Titans Community Foundation, and we look forward to sharing more updates as the weeks unfold.
